• The embassy does not renew the ordinary passport, but only issues a Travel Document for citizens to be able to return to the Sultanate.

• A Travel Document is issued to Omani citizens abroad in the following cases (loss, theft, damage, or expiry, and for a newborn) to facilitate the return of the citizen to the Sultanate.

• Travel Document has a validity of six months from the date of issuance and is non-renewable. It is used for returning to the Sultanate only once.

• The application for the issuance of a travel document should be sent to the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Washington, accompanied by a two-way envelope.

Procedures for lost or stolen passport cases:

1. A report from the nearest police station reporting a case of loss or theft.

2. Two personal photos, size 2x2, white background.

3. Fill in the attached form to request a travel document. Travel Document Form link

5. A copy of the Omani passport and identity card.

6. The application for the issuance of a travel document should be sent to the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Washington, accompanied by a self-addressed envelope, at the address indicated on the right:

4. A copy of the passport and identity card.

5. Attach the damaged original passport.

Procedures for newborn passport Cases

1. Edit a written request.

2. A letter of acknowledgment and undertaking from the child's father.

3. Two photos of the child, size 2x2, white background.

4. Fill in the form to request a travel document.

5. A copy of the passport and identity card of the father and mother.

6. The original birth certificate with the apostille of the certification offices.

7. Sending a certified check paid to the Sultanate's embassy in the amount of $30.

8. A copy of the marriage certificate.

9. In the event of marriage to a non-Omani woman, a copy of the marriage certificate to a non-Omani woman from the Ministry of Interior and a marriage certificate must be attached.
